GENERAL CONFERENCE INFORMATION:

How many people are you expecting for the iBRIDGE Barcelona event?

We are expecting 1,200 participants for iBRIDGE Barcelona 2016. Last years event iBRIDGE Berlin 2015 was fully booked out with 1100 participants attending.

What is the recording policy?
You can record the talks and take photos. However we kindly ask you to respect the privacy of other participants while taking photos of the event.
What is the iBRIDGES general policy?

The iBRIDGES initiative has been made possible through registration fees, the work of hundreds of volunteers, and nancial contributions from individuals, organizations, and companies around the world.  iBRIDGE conferences are sponsored by the BIT-AMENA Center, Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley. These conferences are educational initiatives that are compliant with the laws of the U.S. and the EU.

The purpose of iBridges conference is to exchange information which is permissible under US Sanction Laws.  However, such laws prohibit US persons form engaging in certain transactions relating to the importation or exportation of services to or from Iran, new investment in Iran or facilitation of such transactions by non-US persons.  For detailed information regarding application of these US laws, please seek advice of legal counsel.

REGISTRATION:

I do not have credit card, how can I register for the conference?
You may pay with cash at the conference in Barcelona.  If you need visa please contact us.
What is included in my registration fee?
The registration fee includes participation in conference talks and selected workshop sessions as well as food and beverages that are part of the meal package and Wi-Fi access in the lobby area.
May I register for a single day at a reduced rate?
Unfortunately registration for a single day with a reduced price is not possible, we only offer the complete conference package.
Can I give my registration ticket to another person to take my place?

Unfortunately registration tickets are not tradable and are linked to the person who registered initially.

 

 

Is there any grant for iBRIDGE Barcelona?
The iBRIDGES initiative is an inclusive community. We do our best to bring together entrepreneurs, professionals, investors, volunteers and students from all around the world. To achieve this goal the iBRIDGE Barcelona will provide limited grants to select applicants who are interested in attending the event and who can demonstrate financial need. Since the number of grants are limited please apply as early as possible. Please apply here.
When will registration open?
Registration will open on September 1, 2016.
What are the service charges that are added to my fee?

These are service handling charges of Regfox as well as credit card handling fees.

 

Can I attend a single talk or session?
Unfortunately we only offer the complete conference package and as such registration for a single day with a reduced price is not possible. To attend a single talk or a session, you are required to register as a full participants, we do not offer reduced rates for this purpose.
What is your cancellation policy?

All refund requests must be made in writing via email to registration@ibridges.org and confirmed. Requests received by Oct 8, 2016 will receive a full refund, minus $50 processing fee and any applicable Regfox fees. Requests received between Oct 8, 2016 and November 8, 2016 will receive a 50% refund, minus $50 processing fee and any applicable Regfox fees. Refunds can only be processed to the credit card to which the original charge was made. Processing of the refunds may take over 30 days. No refunds will be processed for cancellations on or after Nov 8, 2016.

The applicable time zone for refund deadlines is GMT+1. Refunds can only be processed to the credit card to which the original charge was made. Processing of refunds may take between 30-60 days.

Where can I find the conference schedule?
Conference schedule will be published on our website once its made available. There will also be a mobile App for the people who register for the conference with the conference information and updates.
Is there a social program?

Yes, there are social programs. They will be announced soon alongside the conference schedule.

 

How can I recommend speakers or facilitators for the program?
Speakers may apply to present their work via the conference website.
What are the differences between the types of sessions?

iBRIDGE Barcelona has several types of sessions:

  1. The Main Hall sessions for all the participants.
  2. Breakout sessions allow for interaction and participation and host up to 500 -800 participants.
  3. Networking events
  4. Startup SHOWCASE
CONFERENCE PARTICIPATION:

If I can’t attend iBRIDGE Barcelona, how else can I be involved?
You can follow the event on social media and our web site.
Will I have opportunities to interact with speakers outside the sessions?
You will have the chance to personally approach the speakers in the coffee/lunch breaks. However, this can not be arranged by the conference organizers.
Participation Guidelines
The iBRIDGE Barcelona conference is dedicated to providing a positive conference experience for everyone, regardless of gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, or beliefs. To ensure this we adopt a zero-tolerance policy towards harassment of any kind. We reserve the right to expel without refund or otherwise sanction conference participants who violate this rule.
How can I be kept informed about iBRIDGE 2016 before, during and after the event?

Will I get an Attendance Certificate?

A certificate of your attendance in the conference will be issued upon your request.

 

INVITATION LETTERS / VISAS:

How do I get an invitation to iBRIDGE Barcelona?
If you want to participate in iBRIDGE Barcelona, you need to register for the conference and then you will receive a registration confirmation.
How can I apply for Spain visa?

You need to do the following:

  1. Register for iBRIDGE Barcelona asap and beore it gets too late.
  2. Print the registration confirmation along with the invitation letter which will be emailed to you right after registration
  3. Make an appointment with the Spain embassy or consulate in your country
  4. Take these documents in addition to other documents that Spain embassy need to issue schengen visa.
Do you provide invitation or visa letters?
After completing your registration you can print out a confirmation which you can use as documentation for your visa application process.
LIVE STREAMING & WIFI ACCESS

Is there a live stream of the sessions?
Yes, all main hall sessions and a subset of the small talk sessions will be streamed live; links to live streams will be publicized on our web site.
When are videos from 2016 sessions being made available to the public?
The videos will be made available via our web site shortly after the conference.
Where can I find videos or talks from previous iBRIDGES conferences?
All the videos from the previous conference can be found on the iBRIDGES.org channel on youtube. You can also find them here.
Is there internet access at the conference?

The Fira de Barcelona lobby area will provide participants with free Wi-fi, you will need to bring your own ICT equipment to connect to it.

 

MEDIA PROFESSIONALS:

Do you offer free passes for members of the press?

Yes, we offer the possibility for members of the press to acquire a free Press Pass. To apply for a free press pass please contact us via Contact us page at ibridges.org to receive  Press Pass Application form.

As we are operating as a non-profit we only have a limited amount of Press Passes available and award passes based on media channel relevance as well as reader / viewership numbers.
